Both the New York Times and The Wrap reported that Sony Pictures Television had struck a deal to put “The Nate Berkus Show” on the NBC O&O stations this fall. Berkus is a design expert who has been a frequent guest on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and his new syndicated talker is being produced by Winfrey’s Harpo Productions.
Given the tough economy, execs at Sony Pictures Television are said to be particularly pleased that they were able to do a cash plus barter deal, rather than all barter for the new show. Of course, financial details are a closely guarded secret.
