Three new initiatives have been launched by one of the largest marketplaces for television and platform executives in the world.

In an announcement made late Friday (Oct. 28), NATPE announced the launch of NATPE Music and NATPE Scripted and the creation of a NATPE Station Group Summit.

Lionsgate’s Kevin Beggs and Facebook’s Matt Jacobson, as well as the President/Chairman of ASCAP, iconic composer Paul Williams, will deliver keynote addresses for the respective new tracks.

NATPE Miami is set for Jan. 17-19 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and neighboring Eden Roc Resort.

The NATPE Station Group Summit is designed to recognize the industry’s trendsetting executives who have helped the transition of NATPE into a multiplatform industry association. At the center of the summit is a State of the Industry panel discussion, curated by Hearst-Argyle Television VP/Programming Emerson Coleman and Tribune Media President of Strategic Programming & Acquisitions Sean Compton. Executives speaking will share best practices, solutions and challenges as local stations and programmers look to think beyond the traditional broadcast model.

Exploring the vital longstanding link between TV and music, NATPE Music will assemble A-List musicians, songwriters, publishers, producers, supervisors and executives to provide actionable insights into the places where television and music meet.

NATPE Scripted will bring a set of sessions will gather top-tier creators and executives from around the world to examine what goes into the creation of engaging stories.

The South Florida wintertime event regularly draws more than 5,000 senior executives from every corner of the industry, with high-level deal-making a major component of the event.
