NBC premiere week: "Parenthood" was the #2 biggest gainer

In the season’s first week, “Parenthood” added 37 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 3.37 rating from a 2.46).  On a percentage basis, “Parenthood” was the #2 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime series during premiere week on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox, behind only Fox’s “Fringe.” 


In the season’s first week, “Community” added 31 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 2.86 rating from a 2.18).  On a percentage basis, “Community” was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during premiere week on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox.

In the season’s first week, “30 Rock” added 29 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 3.32 rating from a 2.58).   On a percentage basis, “30 Rock” was the #2 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during premiere week on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox, behind only “Community.”

In the season’s first week, “The Event” added 27 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 4.60 rating from a 3.61).   Starting with no time-shifted viewing by using its “live only” rating as the base, “The Event” derived 35 percent of its “L+7” rating from time-shifted viewing (1.60 points of a 4.60 rating in L+7), making “The Event” the most time-shifted new primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox during premiere week.

In the season’s first week, “Chuck” added 27 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 2.58 rating from a 2.03).

In the season’s first week, “The Office” added 26 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 5.54 rating from a 4.38).  On a percentage basis, “The Office” was the #3 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among primetime half-hour comedies during premiere week on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox, behind only “Community” and “30 Rock.”

In the season’s first week, “Chase” added 23 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 2.81 rating from a 2.29).

In the season’s first week, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” added 22 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 3.93 rating from a 3.22). 

In the season’s first week, “Outsourced” added 19 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” rating to its “live plus seven day” figure (to a 4.29 rating from a 3.59).  On a percentage basis, “Outsourced” was the #1 biggest gainer from L+SD to L+7 among first-year half-hour comedies during premiere week on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox.
