NBC: SVU matches 15-week time-period high

NBCAt 10 p.m. ET, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (1.9/5 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall) matched NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in this time period in 15 weeks (since February 8) and delivered the network’s biggest overall audience in the hour in 19 weeks (since January 11).  From its first half-hour to its second, “SVU” grew by 11 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 2.0 rating from a 1.8), 13 percent in adults 25-54 (2.6 vs. 2.3) and 9 percent in total viewers (7.3 million vs. 6.7 million).  “SVU” built on its lead-in by 111 percent in 18-49 rating and 85 percent in total viewers.


·       Week to week, “SVU” is up 12 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating from a 1.7), up 14 percent in adults 25-54 (2.4 vs. 2.1) and up 26 percent of 1.4 million persons in total viewers (7.0 million vs. 5.6 million).

At 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of ” Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ” averaged a 0.9/2 in 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall.  Week to week, the 9 p.m. “SVU” encore grew by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.8) and 32 percent in total viewers (3.772 million vs. 2.857 million).  From its first half-hour to its second, the 9 p.m. “SVU” rebroadcast grew by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.8) and 17 percent in total viewers (4.1 million vs. 3.5 million).

At 8 p.m. ET, “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) matched its top 18-49 rating in this time period in four weeks, since April 26, and delivered its biggest overall audience since that same date.  Week to week, the 8 p.m. “Rockers” is up 7 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.4) and 6 percent in total viewers (5.473 million vs. 5.179 million) against competition this week that included Fox’s “American Idol” finale,  ABC’s “The Middle” and CBS’s encore “Big Bang Theory.”  In its eight weeks in this time period, “Off Their Rockers” has delivered NBC’s eight biggest overall audiences in the Wednesday 8-8:30 half-hour since January 11.

At 8:30 ET, a second telecast of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) retained 100 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from the 8 p.m. “Rockers.”

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night:

In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 2.7/7; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.4/6; and ABC’s combo of “Nightline,” 3.2/8; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.5/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.8/4; “Late Show,” 0.6/3; “Nightline,” 1.0/4; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.5/3.

At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (1.3/4).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
