Friday Primetime Results:


At 8 p.m. ET, “Who Do You Think You Are?” (1.5/5 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall) scored its highest 18-49 rating since March 26, 2010 and set a new series record in total viewers. Week to week, “Who Do You Think You Are?” is up 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.0) and up 52 percent or 2.6 million persons in total viewers (7.600 million vs. 4.997 million). This week’s edition of “Who Do You Think You Are?” featured Reba McEntire.

At 9 p.m. ET, “Grimm” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) captured its top 18-49 and total-viewer results since January 20. In the time period, “Grimm” currently is tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and is #1 outright in men 25-54. “Grimm” is up week to week by 13 percent in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and up 17 percent in total viewers (5.581 million vs. 4.788 million). Note that on average this season, “Grimm” originals have been adding 61 percent to their next-day “live plus same day” 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in “live plus seven day” ratings.

At 10 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” reported a 1.3/4 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall.

In late-night metered-market households Friday night:

In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 3.0/7; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.5/6; and ABC’s combo of “Nightline,” 3.6/8; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.6/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.8/4; “Late Show,” 0.6/3; “Nightline,” 1.2/5; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.6/3.

At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.7/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.6/3 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.4/2).

At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
