NBC Tuesday w/ ‘The Biggest Loser: Couples’ checking in 4th position

From 8-10 p.m., “The Biggest Loser: Couples” averaged a 2.8/8 in 18-49 and 7.4 million viewers overall in a time period that included competition from Fox’s two-hour “American Idol,” ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” results show and “Lost” and CBS’s encore dramas.   From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Biggest Loser” increased its 18-49 rating by 33 percent (to a 3.2 from a 2.4) and its overall viewership by 25 percent or 1.7 million persons (8.4 million vs. 6.7 million).


At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” delivered a 2.5/7 in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall.  “Parenthood” is #2 in the time period in most key ratings categories and is #1 among the major networks in all key adult-female demographics — women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
