NBC Wednesday solid w/ 'The Sing-Off' and 'Law & Order: SVU'

From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Sing-Off” (2.6/7 in adults 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall) delivered a season high for NBC in the time period in adult 18-49 rating and attracted the biggest overall audience for NBC in the slot since September 29. 


From its first half-hour to its fourth, “The Sing-Off” grew by 32 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.9 from a 2.2) and by 22 percent or nearly 1.5 million persons in total viewers (8.1 million vs. 6.7 million). 

Last night’s telecast is up versus the year-ago Wednesday “Sing-Off” telecast by 24 percent in 18-49 rating (2.6 vs. 2.1) and by 17 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (7.592 million vs. 6.509 million).  

Versus NBC’s time-period average for last season, the December 8 “Sing-Off” is up 44 percent in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 1.8, non-sports “live plus same day”) and up 21 percent in total viewers (7.592 million vs. 6.232 million).  “The Sing-Off” ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-34 and women 18-34. 

At 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) ran within 1 share of #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and finished #1 in adults 18-34, men 18-34 (tie), women 18-34 and women 18-49.
