NBC's 'Minute to Win It' #1 among men takes #2 among the networks

At 8 p.m. ET, “Minute to Win It” averaged a 1.8/6 in 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall.  In the time period, “Minute to Win It” is #2 among the major networks in total viewers and #1 among men 18-34 and men 18-49. 


From its first half-hour to its second, “Minute to Win It” increased by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0 from a 1.6) and 20 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (to 6.5 million from 5.4 million), the biggest increases among the major networks in the hour.  For its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m., “Minute to Win It” pulled within a 0.3 of a rating point of first place in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among the major networks in all key adult-male demos in a time period that includes competition from CBS’s “Big Brother” and Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”

At 9 p.m. ET, “America’s Got Talent” (2.5/8 in 18-49, 9.5 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night in 18-49 and total viewers.  “America’s Got Talent” won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.  “Talent” took the hour by a margin of 25 percent in 18-49 (2.5 vs. 2.0 for Fox’s second-place “So You Think You Can Dance”) and by 51 percent or more than 3.2 million persons in total viewers (9.5 million vs. 6.3 million for CBS’s second-place “Criminal Minds” encore).

At 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (1.5/5 in adults 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and other key demographics.  In adults 18-49, “SVU” has now ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the time period with its last eight consecutive telecasts.

NBC is #1 for the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.
