NBC’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ #1 winner Friday w/ ‘Dateline NBC’

At 8 p.m. ET, “Who Do You Think You Are?” (1.7/7 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) matched its highest 18-49 rating to date and delivered its biggest overall audience thus far, to finish #2 among the major networks in the time period in both categories and #1 among non-sports programs.  “Who Do You Think You Are?” is #1 among all major networks in women 18-49 and women 25-54 and #2 (#1 non-sports) in the hour in all other key ratings categories. 
 
“Who Do You Think You Are?” matched NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in the time period with non-sports programming since January 15, 2009. “Who Do You Think You Are?” improved on NBC’s average in this time period during the traditional 2008-09 season by 42% in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.2) and 60% in total viewers (7.139 million vs. 4.471 million).   
 
From 9-11 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” reported a 1.4/6 in adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall.  “Dateline” is currently tied for #1 in the slot in women 25-54 and is #2 in total viewers.  “Dateline” out-delivered ABC’s two hours of “20/20” in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and most other key ratings categories, while improving on NBC’s average in this time period during the traditional 2008-09 season by 33% in total viewers (6.620 million vs. 4.992 million).
