Four Points Media, managed by Nexstar, is wasting no time getting its new affiliation with LATV up and running in the West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce, FL market. The debut is set for next Tuesday, June 29th.

“Over the last decade, the Hispanic population in Palm Beach County, St. Lucie County, Martin County, Indian River County and Okeechobee County has increased by over 80%.  As our community grows and becomes more diverse, we remain committed to providing the most relevant, topical, exciting and progressive programming for our viewers.  We are delighted to add LA TV to the programming and entertainment that our suite of television stations provides the community.  LA TV West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce is a perfect Spanish language complement to our Azteca America affiliate WWHB and sister stations WTVX and WTCN,” said Arika Zink, Vice President and General Manager of Four Points Media Group of West Palm Beach Inc.

Four Points has already nailed down local cable carriage for the LATV multicast on its WTVX-TV (CW). It will be on Comcast channel 225.

All four of the networks that Four Points has the market rights to are being carried on its full-power digital signal now. “The CW West Palm WTVX-TV” is on channel 34.1, “Azteca 48 WWHB-CA” on 34.2, “My 15 WTCN-TV” on 34.3 and (effective 6/29) “LA TV West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce” on 34.4. The operation also includes the online community portal WeAreWestPalm.com.

RBR-TVBR observation: This is being seen in more and more markets, where networks that previously had only partial market penetration over the air on low-power TV signals now have full-coverage as digital multicasts. And, as in this case, networks not previously seen in the market are being added as well.
