NextRadio-TabletThe NextRadio app now has a cleaner look on tablets.

Before, the smartphone app was blown up to fit the larger screen on a tablet.

Now, Emmis has released a custom layout that makes better use of the screen.

Using a landscape layout keeps the station the consumer is listening to prominent placement in the center of the screen, according to NextRadio. The user can also browse other stations, see Live Guide or visit the listening history without moving away from the Now Playing info.

The tablet 3-column layout gives equal view space to station listings by genre, frequency, favorites or Live Guide on the left, Now Playing details in the center and content related to what the user is listening to on the right — without needing to scroll down, as users do on their smartphones.

FM-enabled tablets compatible with NextRadio are the Samsung Galaxy Tab E and Tab 4, and the Slate 8” and 10” on the Sprint network.
