The latest retrans negotiation that dragged beyond expiration of the old carriage contract came to an end. Like the CBS/Dish process before it, the Nexstar/Dish process was concluded without a service disruption.
Also like the CBS/Dish negotiation, the television company in question granted serial carriage extensions to avoid a blackout of its local broadcast properties while talks continued.
