NRGMidwestern radio group NRG Media recently created and filled the position of Corporate Web Designer and Digital Content Manager to oversee aspects of the group’s digital business. Now it has created and filled the position of Director of Integrated Media.

Tim Martin was hired as the Corporate Web Designer and Digital Content Manager earlier this month.

The new hire for the Director of Integrated Media position is Erica Dreyer, who held similar jobs with Maverick Media and Mid-West Family Broadcasting.

“Digital media offers the greatest potential revenue growth for radio today,” said NRG President/CEO Mary Quass. “Erica Dreyer has earned seven awards for excellence in the digital arena. Dreyer’s the maverick we need to lead this new department.”

Dreyer said, “I’m excited to work for NRG Media.  There are so many opportunities for radio stations to engage their audience through various platforms.  It will be energizing to help a new group of stations create innovative digital solutions for their clients.

Quass added, “NRG is now poised to set the industry standard for interactive and integrated solutions in our regional area.”

RBR-TVBR observation: For those of you who regularly monitor this space it is needless to say that we highly approve of this move. While we believe a strong presence on core AM and FM radio stations is still paramount for any radio group, we also believe all forays into digital are to be encouraged – and the faster a group figures out how to make it a profit center, the better.
