The NFL on CBS and the coverage of Denver’s dramatic overtime win over the Steelers in the AFC Wild Card game scores the highest ratings in 24 years.


Game Rates 25.9/43 in Metered Markets

THE NFL ON CBS’s broadcast of the AFC Wild Card game featuring the Tim Tebow-led Denver Broncos’ 29-23 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Jan. 8 was the highest-rated Wild Card game in 24 years earning an average overnight household rating/share of 25.9/43, up 38% from last year’s 18.8/37 for Baltimore at Kansas City.

The Pittsburgh-Denver game was the highest-rated Wild Card game in the metered markets on any network since 1988 (26.7; Seattle-Houston; 1/3/88; NBC).

The game peaked with a rating/share of 31.6/46 (8:00-8:15 PM, ET).
