$10M: KPXJ-TV Shreveport LA (Minden LA) from Paxson Communications License Company LLC (Lowell W. Paxson) to Minden Television Corp. (Lauren B. Wray). $1M escrow escrow, balance in cash at closing. KPXJ is PAX affiliate on channel 21. In LMA with KTBS-TV, owned by relatives of Lauren Wray, which is ABC affiliate on channel 3. Wray interests filed to buy KPXJ as KTBS Inc. and as River Cities Broadcasting LLC. KTBS Inc. is paying $1.25M in exchange for option to acquire station if and when it becomes legal to do so. Seller and Shapiro have been partners in various licensee companies. Seller will initiate CP to move station to Henniker NH, onto Pat's Peak antenna of WOTX-FM Concord. $32M: KOCE-TV Los Angeles (Huntington Beach CA) from Board of Trustees, Coast Community College District (C.M. Bhrahmbhatt, vice-chancellor) to KOCE-TV Foundation (Robert J. Brown, chairman). $8M cash payment, $4M in various offsets, $20M note ($2.5M of which is for LMA with seller). Station is PBS affiliate on Channel 50 (DTV Channel 48). Deal has been target of lawsuit from Daystar Television. A judge just ruled in favor of Foundation, and at this date a successful appeal is considered unlikely. [File date 4/13/04.]
