Radio Disney spins out of Louisville

The Walt Disney Company has an interest in WDRD-AM in Louisville KY, but once the sale of the station to UB Louisville LLC closes, it will be as a syndicator rather than as an owner.

Chad Boerger is the buyer, and the acquisition will officially make him a group owner, adding a second market to his portfolio, which already includes a pair of stations in the Kansas City MO market.

According to brokers Bill Schutz, who represented the seller, and John Pierce, who represented the buyer, the price will be $375K cash.

Boerger already has a TBA in place, and is utilizing Disney’s ESPN Radio on the station.
