“Shawneen’s performance in St. Louis has been consistent since she joined us is 2010. She has demonstrated that she can get the job done by growing the top and bottom lines for the company. Her leadership and involvement in the St. Louis community have set new standards in ratings and revenue. I know she will do great things for the company in Philadelphia,” said Chris Wegmann, President, Radio Division, to whom they will both report.
“I am very thankful that Chris, Alfred, and Ms. Hughes have shown the confidence in me to lead our terrific group of employees and heritage brands. Radio One DC has become a destination for those who want to be part of a world class organization. My colleagues throughout the DC Cluster are some of the very best at what they do. I look forward to supporting them, as well our many business partners, as we continue to deliver great entertainment on-air, on-line, on-site, and mobile — always with a keen eye on touching the communities we serve,” said Leinwand.
