Beasley's Classic Rock 106.5 grants Christmas Wish
Beasley’s Classic Rock 106.5 WSFL-FM in Eastern NC announced the station has arranged for listener Andy Martin to receive a new prosthetic leg from Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics – and he’ll have it in time for Christmas. During WSFL’s “The 15 Days of Christmas” promotion the station encouraged listeners to visit its website, www.wsfl.com, and submit a Christmas wish for themselves, a family member or friend. WSFL hopes to grant as many wishes as possible with the help of its clients, friends and other businesses in Eastern Carolina. They have received wishes for toys, food, clothes, jewelry, electronics and much more, and will grant as many Christmas wishes as they are able to through December 19th.
Andy Martin of Williamston, NC, has a prosthetic leg that is old and worn out. Because he has no insurance, and a new prosthetic leg costs approximately $13,000, he asked Santa – via the elves at WSFL – for a new leg. Working together with Beasley sister station V103.3 WMGV-FM, Classic Rock 106.5 contacted Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics in Greenville, NC, and arranged to make his wish come true.
