CC Radio debuts CHR Z104.3 in Baltimore
And the CHR wave continues: Today (11/4) at Noon, WCHH-FM became Z104.3, replacing the former Alternative Rocker. Z104.3 will be running commercial free for the first 10,000 songs.
Z104.3 will feature today’s best artists, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Jay Z, Beyonce, just to name a few.
The station will be modeled after CHR stations under the Clear Channel umbrella such as Z100 in New York, Hot 99.5 in Washington DC, KIIS in Los Angeles and Q-94 in Richmond.
“Baltimore is one of the rare exceptions in top 25 markets to not have a CHR format. It is finally time for listeners to be able to hear all the hits in one place, and Z104.3 is the new home for those hits. Operations Manager Thea Mitchem has put together an amazing music intensive format that Baltimore has asked for and we know they will love.” said Hartley Adkins, President/Market Manager Clear Channel Washington DC & Baltimore.
