GGB Las Vegas turns two FMs over for Beasley to run
It is not shocking that Beasley Broadcast Group will assume management duties for The Oasis 105.7 FM KOAS and 107.9 FM KVGS – the pair are owned by George Beasley, who of course is also is a prominent member of Beasley, serving as its Chairman/CEO.
GGB was formed by George Beasley specifically to acquire the two FMs and turn them over to BBG to operate. According to broker Michael Bergner, who handled the transaction, GGB acquired the stations from Lee Shubert, trustee of the Riviera Broadcast Group, for $8.5M.
The LMA gives BBG operation reins for five stations in Vegas. It’s other stations include 96.3 KKLZ-FM, 102.7 The Coyote KCYE-FM, and News-Talk 720 KDWN-AM. Tom Humm is the VP/Market Manager for the cluster.
BBG VP/Operations Brian Beasley commented, “Not only do we believe the management addition of these two stations creates an excellent opportunity for our Company, importantly it also reflects our belief in the strength of this market and our long-term commitment to Las Vegas.”
