Spanish Broadcasting System announced the debut of a new Mexican Regional FM station, La Raza 106.3 serving Miami and South Florida (WZMQ-FM Key Largo, FL @ 50,000 watts). The station will cater to the region’s growing Mexican population with a programming menu consisting of music from artists such as Vicente Fernandez, Los Tigres del Norte, Tucanes de Tijuana, Banda el Recodo and Alejandro Fernandez. Specifically designed to appeal to an exploding Mexican and Central American listener base, the station will be a first for South Florida radio.

LA Raza 106.3 will join the other three SBS O&Os in South Florida, including Tropical leader WXDJ-FM (“El Zol 95”), Spanish Adult Contemporary WRMA-FM (“Romance 106.7”) and Spanish Classic Hits WCMQ-FM (“Clásica 92”).
