Jury rules against Clear Channel
Clear Channel Communications plans to appeal a federal jury’s finding that its in-house software for maximizing ad revenues infringes a patent held by Grantley Patent Holdings Ltd. The jury awarded Grantley 66 million bucks. Clear Channel had argued, unsuccessfully, that the patent was invalid. The Grantley patent is utilized by Maxagrid International for its radio inventory pricing software.
