Close encounter in Arizona

Cochise Broadcasting has closed on its acquisition of KFMM-FM Thatcher AZ and KCUZ-AM Clifton AZ, according to brokerage firm Kalil & Co. According to documents filed at the FCC, the payday for seller Wick Communications is 330K. The combo will have minimal overlap with an as-yet-unbuilt Cochise CP, assuming it is able to get the CP's facilities upgraded.
