Walsh new Interep COO

Interep veteran Mike Walsh has been elevated to President and COO of the company, overseeing all of the radio rep firms and reporting to CEO and Vice Chairman David Kennedy. Walsh last headed the Cumulus Major Market Sales rep firm at Interep and has been working on special projects since Cumulus consolidated all of its stations at Katz late last year.

"I am extremely excited about this opportunity.  I have been a part of Interep for over 17 years, both as an employee and as a client.  The one constant over that time has been the terrific group of people we have here who are passionate about what they do and committed to the success of the company," said Walsh, who was National Sales Manager at WINS-AM & WNEW-FM New York between stints at Interep.

In his new position, Walsh will oversee operations of the radio rep firms and Net Solutions, Interep's unwired network division. "I will obviously continue to focus on other tasks inside the company - the continued growth in our digital area, our interactive division, Interep Interactive, which has been around for quite a few years, as well as focusing on our other operations, our Azteca America Television Sales, and those other divisions of the company," Kennedy told RBR, adding that work continues on Interep's financial restructuring.
