All in the family
We're not saying that negotiations over the sale of WLES-AM Bon Air VA in the close-in suburbs of Richmond from Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting Corporation to Truth Broadcasting Corporation were not intense. All we are saying is that the principal on both sides probably did not have to travel very far to find a serviceable negotiating table. The station is going from Nancy Epperson to her husband Stuart Epperson, so we estimate that the distance traveled to discuss the matter may well have been measured in terms of square feet of carpeting. The price settled on to transfer the station from Nancy to Stuart was 125K, all payable under terms of a promissory note.
