Ex-Emmis employee pleads guilty

Former Emmis St. Louis controller Sylvia York has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $70,000 from the company. York, who now lives in Texas, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $250,000, according to Assistant US Attorney Michael Reap. She has also agreed to repay her former employer. Sentencing is set for October 30th.
