Prescott Valley pair adds a Chino

Sanford and Terry Cohen have struck a deal which will take their Prescott Valley AZ combo up to duopoly status. They're dropping over 1M to bring KPPV-FM Chino Valley AZ into the fold, 1.2M to be exact. They're using licensee name Prescott Valley Broadcasting Company Inc., not that much of a change from the name of seller James L. Primm's company, Prescott Radio Partners. But the station will double up with KQNA-AM & KPPV-FM, licensed to Prescott Valley and part of the Flagstaff-Prescott Valley Arbitron market. The Cohens have also applied for a new FM in Parker AZ, but that is on the state line near California, many miles away from the Flagstaff area.
