Beasley Broadcast Group announced that Mike Sommers has been appointed Program Director of WJBR-FM Wilmington and will also be the afternoon drive personality. Previous PD Michael Waite will focus more on the station’s popular Michael Waite & Jill Quayle Morning Show and his role as a community service advocate for WJBR. A radio veteran of 25 years, Sommers was most recently PD at WBEN-FM Philadelphia.
