Bustos Media Radio raises over $250K for children

Bustos Media’s Ke Buena Network, La Gran D Network, KLMG Magia 94.3 FM in Sacramento and KBMG Magia 106.1 FM in Salt Lake City announce it raised $264,202.00 during a three-day Radiothon in benefit of the Children’s Miracle Network; a national alliance of hospitals helping needy children with critical medical services.

Currently 275 stations around the world organize fundraisers to benefit the CMN. However, the Bustos Media radiothon marks the first time CMN highlights the touching experiences of Latino children with special needs, their families, and the enormous giving-spirit of the Hispanic community.

“I was extremely impressed with the response and support received from our Hispanic audience.  This is the first year for Bustos Media, as well as for the Children’s Miracle Network, to do a Latin Radiothon of this magnitude,” said Juan Gonzalez, Bustos Media’s VP/Programming.

The funds raised in each community will help local children with severe illnesses such as cancer, birth defects, accident trauma, premature or complicated births, and other afflictions.

“Words cannot begin to express the gratitude that our organization, the numerous children’s hospitals, and most importantly all our kids, owe to all the incredible and dedicated staff of employees at Bustos Media. Through their efforts more than a quarter of a million dollars were raised.  This huge success is a true testament to the power of Latin radio!” said Joe Trevino, VP/CMN Latin Radiothon.
