Futbol de Primera acquires rights to 2009 Concacaf
Fútbol de Primera obtained the exclusive U.S. Spanish-language radio rights for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Next summer, FDP will carry all of the tournament on its Radio Network of 85 affiliate s, including 25 FMs, covering almost 90% of the Hispanic market in the U.S.
With the acquisition of these rights, Fútbol de Primera adds to its lineup of soccer properties, including the exclusive U.S. Spanish-language radio rights to the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups and the Mexican National Team, among others, and proves that FDP will remain the dominant player in Hispanic Radio Sports Programming.
The agreement covers all of the games played during next year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, which brings together 12 of the top national teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean, including Mexico, Costa Rica, the U.S. and others. Have an opinion on this article? Post your comment below.
