Freedom 970 debuts Hannity, Levin
March 8 marked the debut of Sean Hannity and Mark Levin on Freedom 970 (KCMD-AM) in Portland, OR. The deal was announced last November by Alpha Broadcasting’s Director of Talk Programming, Brian Jennings, but was on hold until the hosts were free of previous contractual obligations with Pamplin Media Group’s KPAM-AM there. The Sean Hannity Show takes over 12-3pm and the Mark Levin Show immediately follows, 3-6pm (PT).
“We’ve been waiting for this day and now that it’s here I’m thrilled to add both Hannity and Levin to the Freedom 970 roster,” commented Jennings. “The station has really evolved over the last 6 months and these shows complete what we’ve started with America’s Morning News and the Laura Ingraham Show. The heat has most definitely been turned up on Portland’s AM dial.”
Alpha Broadcasting, headquartered in Portland, Oregon was formed by Larry Wilson, Bob Proffitt and Endeavour Capital, also in Portland.
