CBS Radio’s WCBS Newsradio 880 has signed a multi-year agreement with Univision Radio’s WADO 1280 AM for Spanish-language play-by-play broadcasts of the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees.  WADO 1280 AM will feature all 162 home and away games, as well as any postseason contests with regular season coverage beginning on Sunday, April 4 when the Yankees take on the Boston Red Sox live from Fenway Park.

WCBS has served as the New York Yankees flagship station since 2002.  The station produces both the English- and Spanish-language game coverage hosted by veteran broadcasters John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman, and Beto Villa and Francisco Rivera, respectively.

In addition, as part of the new agreement both stations will partner on a number of on-air and in-stadium promotions, and create additional New York Yankees specialty programs to further serve their audiences.  And WADO 1280 will serve as the YES Network’s audio source for its SAP feed.
