Double barrel AMs in Winchester
WSVG-AM Mt. Jackson VA, in the Winchester VA market, is getting an AM sister in a $50K deal for WAMM-AM Woodstock. The deal is unique in that it features two sellers.
There is only one that the FCC cares about however, and that’ Jason M. Rodriguez, who is the licensee. But Hometown Broadcasting LLC is involved too, selling some of the assets used in operation of the station.
The buyer is Shenandoah Valley Group Inc., headed by James and Catherine Jones. The entire price will be handled via a significantly back-loaded promissory note. SVG will pay $500 a month for three years, and then finish it off with a sizable balloon payment – the contract specifies it to the penny at $38,858.18 -- on month 37.
