Close encounter in Louisiana

A 13.5M transaction sending six Lake Charles LA radio stations and a Class A television station from Apex Broadcasting to GAP Broadcasting is now a done deal, according to brokerage firm Kalil & Co. On the radio sided, George Laughlin's group is now the proud owner of KLCL-AM/KNGT-FM Lake Charles, KTSR-FM De Quincy, KJMH-FM Lake Arthur, and KJEF-AM/KHLA-FM Jennings. The television property, KJEF-CA, is also licensed to Jennings.
