Clear Channel respins in Tennessee

There is a new buyer for a six-station Clear Channel cluster in an unrated portion of Tennessee. It was originally part of the ill-fated 452.1M group sale to GoodRadio.TV. According to brokerage firm Kalil & Co., this chip off of the more massive block is now headed to Peg Broadcasting Crossville LLC, headed by Jeff Shaw, who not coincidentally owns a four station cluster in Crossville TN. The Clear Channel stations are located in the McMinnville area, southwest of Crossville and roughly between Chattanooga and Nashville. The stations include WAKI-AM/WBMC-AM McMinnville TN, WSMT-AM/WRKK-FM/WTZX-AM  Sparta and WKZP-FM Spencer TN.
