EMF lands another in eastern Tennessee

In fact, the latest acquisition target from noncom Religious outfit Educational Media Foundation has such impeccable eastern Tennessee credentials that the seller is called East Tennessee Radio Group. Despite the sale, changes will likely go largely unnoticed by local citizens. The station is WMXK-FM in Morristown TN, and the reason nobody will notice much of a change is that EMF has been running its programming on it for just over a year pursuant to a 4/1/07 network affiliation agreement, which is EMF's preferred nomenclature for what many would consider an LMA. The price of the station will be 640K. Morristown is about halfway between Johnson City and Knoxville.
