Close encounter in Ohio
Another set of chips is officially off the Clear Channel block with the closing of BAS Broadcastings acquisition of five stations in and around Sandusky OH. BAS, headed by President/’CEO Jim Lorenzen, picked up WCPZ-FM Sandusky, WLEC-AM Mount Vernon, WMJK-FM Clyde, WPFX-FM North Baltimore and WTTF-AM Tiffin for $5.2M. Greg Guy of Patrick Communications represented the buyer; Kalil & Co. represented the seller.
