Close encounter in Washington DC

Radio One is now the proud owner of WPRS-FM in the Washington DC market, after officially closing its $38M acquisition from Bonneville International Corporation. However, the change won’t be readily apparent to listeners – Radio One installed a Gospel format via an LMA over a year ago. The station joins a local cluster in the group’s HQ market with WKYS-FM, WMMJ-FM, WOL-AM, WYCB-AM.
