Radio Disney Rates high with Kids and Moms for 2009

Radio Disney Reaches Weekly Audiences of More Than 22 Million Listeners 6+ and Nearly 7 Million Kid 6-14 Listeners
Posts Double-to-Triple Digit Percent Gains Year-to-Year in Key Demos
In 2009, Radio Disney, the only leading radio network for kids and families, delivered its highest annual ratings book ever during the Daytime, Weekday Morning and Weekday Afternoon dayparts, across all demos and most notably with its core Kids 6-11 and Kid 6-14 listeners, and Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 and Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11. A network for the entire family, 91% of Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 listen to Radio Disney with a child, an 11% increase over 2008. Throughout the year, Radio Disney reaches weekly audiences of 22.2 million listeners 6+ and 6.8 million Kids 6-14 listeners during its programming day.
2009 Highlights
Daytime (M-Su, 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.): In 2009, Radio Disney garnered its highest daytime ratings on record across-the-board including among core Kid 6-11 (1.6 rating) and Kid 6-14 (1.5 rating) demos, and among Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 (1.2 rating) and Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 (1.1 rating).
Versus 2008, Radio Disney’s ratings nearly doubled in Kids 6-14 (+75% - 1.5 rating vs. 0.8 rating), doubled in Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 (+100% - 1.2 rating vs. 0.6 rating) and nearly tripled in Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 (+175% - 1.1 rating vs. 0.4 rating).
Weekday Morning Drive (M-F, 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.): Radio Disney delivered the network’s highest weekday morning drive ratings on record across all target categories specifically among Kids 6-11 (1.8 rating) and Kids 6-14 (1.6 rating), Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 (1.9 rating) and Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 (1.6 rating).
Year-to-year, Radio Disney’s ratings basically quadrupled among Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 (+280% - 1.9 rating vs. 0.5 rating) and Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 (+300% - 1.6 rating vs. 0.4 rating), and posted double-digit percent gains in Kids 6-14 (+45% - 1.6 rating vs. 1.1 rating) and Kids 6-11 (+20% - 1.8 rating vs. 1.5 rating).
Weekday Afternoon Drive (M-F, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.): Radio Disney registered the network’s highest afternoon drive ratings ever among Kids 6-11 (2.2 rating) and Kids 6-14 (2.2 rating), Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 (2.0 rating) and Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 (1.6 rating).
Compared to 2008, Radio Disney’s afternoon drive ratings more than doubled in Kids 6-14 (+120% - 2.2 rating vs. 1.0 rating) and Moms 18+ with Kids 6-11 (+186% - 2.0 rating vs. 0.7 rating), and more than tripled among Moms 18+ with Kids 2-11 (+220% - 1.6 rating vs. 0.5 rating).

Kids help pick the music played and are encouraged to interact via a toll-free phone line to the Radio Disney studio.
