Beginning 2/4, the provocative and entertaining Raq-C makes a big move to Grupo Radio Centro’s Exitos 93.9FM LA as host of the station’s new weekday afternoon show from 1 to 7 p.m. Raq-C (Raquel Cordova) and co-host Nachin (Ignacio Sandoval) bring their unique style of humor, celebrity gossip and music to the newly-revamped Exitos lineup.  They will also be joined by DJ Zoe, who will premiere the station’s first live music mix segment, De Todo Mix, in the 5 to 7 p.m. segment. Raq-C moves from SBS’s LA96.3 KXOL-FM in that market.

“I’m really thankful for this new and exciting opportunity to work with EXITOS 93.9! I feel like this is another blessing for me to be the voice of the Latino community in Los Angeles and it feels so good to be given amazing support from a team that wants the best for their talent. I’m excited to connect with my audience & cater to the bi-cultural/bilingual market who is the new generation Latino! I’m ready to “Raqcify” the LA airwaves & have a blast doing it!,” she said.

Raq-C is a Southern California native well known to local Latino audiences for her highly successful eight-year run on Latino 96.3. She describes herself as a “free spirit” with a passion for music, Latino culture, and motivating others.  She is also very involved in many local Latino charity causes and community organizations and founded Amigas4MySoul, a non-profit dedicated to promoting unity and empowerment among women.

Said Exitos Operations Director Abel de Luna said Raq-C’s addition to the station’s lineup is just the beginning of a major programming transformation taking place at the station: “A quick look at the demographics of this market clearly shows that young, bilingual Latinos represent one of the fastest-growing and unserved audience segments.  Over the next few months, you’ll be seeing additional changes to the station that will establish us as the number one choice for Latino listeners. Our new slogan, Más Exitos Que Nadie (More Hits Than Anyone) says it all.”
