Investors got interested in the recently depressed financial and tech sectors. And that buying gave the entire market a boost. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 54 poitns, or 0.5%, to 10,681. Broadcasting stocks joined in the advance.
The RBR Radio Index was up 6.636, or 3.3%, to 207.734.
The TVBR Television Index was up 1.341, or 1%, to 141.452.
