PollThe results are in – 15 members of the RTDNA leadership pool were either elected, re-elected or appointed. Here is the full list:


Kathy Walker – News Director, KOA-AM Denver, CO was elected as chair-elect for 2014-2015. She will also serve as RTDNA’s executive producer of the Association’s next national convention, Excellence in Journalism 2015 in Orlando, Florida. The Chair-Elect becomes Chair of RTDNA in year two and Chair of RTDNF in year three of a three-year cycle on the Executive Committee

Amy Tardif, Station Manager and News Director, WGCU-FM, Fort Myers, FL becomes Chair of RTDNA for 2014-2015. She is the fourth woman to lead the Association and the first female public radio news director to hold the position

Chris Carl, Director of News and Programming, WDEL-AM, Wilmington, DE becomes Past Chairman of RTDNA and Chairman of the Radio Television Digital News Foundation for the coming year

Loren Tobia – Vice President of Sales, AccuWeather State College, PA was re-elected to a three-year term as Treasurer of the Association. Tobia is a former Chairman of RTDNA.

Dan Shelley – Senior Vice President, Interactive One Local & Interactive One Studios at Radio One was appointed as Treasurer of the Radio Television Digital News Foundation, replacing Ed Esposito, whose term is expiring and who has chosen not to stand for re-appointment. Shelley is a former Chairman of RTDNA.

Vincent Duffy – News Director, Michigan Radio was appointed as a Director At-Large of the Association, to fill the seat vacated by Dan Shelley (see above). Duffy is a former Chairman of RTDNA.

Harvey Nagler – Vice President, CBS News Radio New York, NY was re-elected to a two-year term as a Director At-Large

Jerry Walsh – Director of Local Content Development – East Region, Nexstar Broadcasting Group Irving, TX was re-elected to a two-year term as a Director At-Large

Sheryl Worsley – News Director, KSL-AM Salt Lake City, UT was elected to a two-year term as Region 3 Director, serving the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming

Scott Libin – Senior Fellow, University of Minnesota Minneapolis, MN was re-elected to a two-year term as Region 4 Director, serving the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin

Scott Brady – News Director, KYTV-TV Springfield, MO was elected to a two-year term as Region 5 Director, serving the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska

Carlton Houston – News Director, KFOR-TV Oklahoma City, OK was re-elected to a two-year term as Region 6 Director, serving the states of Oklahoma and Texas

Randy Bell – News Director, WMSI-FM/WQJQ-FM/WJDX-AM Jackson, MS was re-elected to a two-year term as Region 9 Director, serving the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi

Andrew Vrees – News Director, WCVB-TV Boston, MA was re-elected to a two-year term as Region 10 Director, serving the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont

Terence Shepherd – News Director, WLRN-FM Miami, FL was re-elected to a two-year term as Region 13 Director, serving the states of Florida and Georgia, along with Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
