Saturday; "Law and Order: SVU" ties #1; ‘Saturday Night Live’ is #1

From 8-9 p.m., an encore telecast of “Parenthood” averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Parenthood” increased its 18-49 rating by 20 percent (to a 0.6 from a 0.5), its adult 25-54 rating by 17 percent (0.7 vs. 0.6) and its women 25-54 rating by 29 percent (0.9 vs. 0.7).


At 9 p.m., a rebroadcast of “Law and Order” delivered a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, “Law & Order” increased its 18-49 rating by 33 percent (to a 0.8 from a 0.6) and its men 18-49 rating by 75 percent (0.7 vs. 0.4).

At 10 p.m., an encore telecast of “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) tied for #1 for the hour in adults 18-49.  “SVU” built on its lead-in by 71 percent in 18-49 and 33 percent in total viewers.

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” tied for #1 in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (1.7 each for “SVU” and CBS’s “48 Hours”).

In late-night metered-market households Saturday night SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, hosted by Gabourey Sidibe and featuring musical guest MGMT (4.7/12 in metered-market households) dominated the time period, delivering the #1 rating of the night in metered-market households ahead of all primetime telecasts on all the major networks.  In the 25 markets with local people meters, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE averaged a 2.7/11 in adults 18-49 and was the night’s #1 telecast.
