Saturday Primetime 'Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special' tied for #2

At 8 p.m. ET, the encore holiday special “Merry Madagascar” (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.  “Merry Madagascar” matched NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in the time period in the past four weeks and equaled the network’s second-highest rating in the half-hour this season.  In the time period, “Merry Madagascar” was a dominant #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in kids 2-11 with a 1.7 rating.


At 8:30 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special” (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.  “Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special” unwrapped NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in the half-hour in four weeks and the network’s second-highest rating in the time period this season.  In the time slot, “Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special” was a dominant #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in kids 2-11 with a 2.1 rating.

From 9-11 p.m., the “NBC Movie of the Week” telecast of the 2007 feature film “Bee Movie” (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) buzzed to NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in the time period since June 5.  In the time period, “Bee Movie” tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults, men and women 18-49 and other key categories.  “Bee Movie” was a dominant #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in kids 2-11 with a 2.3 rating.
