In the aftermath of Sinclair Television Group’s acquisition of Allbritton, WCFT-TV Tuscaloosa AL is supposed to come to an end. But STG is trying to sell it to minority-owned Howard Stirk Holdings in a deal modeled along the same lines as one filed for WCIV-TV Charleston SC earlier this month.
The Tuscaloosa station is part of the Birmingham market. It carries ABC programming along with Sinclair’s WABM-LD Birmingham. STG also has MNT and CW affiliates in Birmingham.
