Kenwood USA is touting the Apple CarPlay ad Android Auto compatibility of its flagship multimedia receiver, the eXcelon DNX8935S; the unit includes built-in HD Radio.
The company says the receiver has been redesigned and now has faster processing, enhanced smartphone integration, more safety features and supports high-resolution audio.
Users can connect either an iPhone or Android-based smartphone to access and control navigation, streaming content, messaging and music using an intuitive voice interface. Built-in apps let the user select and control smartphone apps over Bluetooth on the receiver’s display, including Spotify and Pandora.
The unit is on display in Kenwood’s booth at CES (#1702).
