Sounders FC partner with ESPN Deportes Seattle

ESPN SeattleESPN Deportes Seattle Radio Group, with stations in Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia, will broadcast live play-by-play coverage of all Seattle Sounders FC Major League Soccer matches during the 2014 regular season and playoff games, including a 30-minute pregame show and 30-minute post-game analysis in Spanish.


The stations include KBRO-AM 1490 AM in Seattle/Bremerton, KNTB-AM 1480 AM in Tacoma/Lakewood, K221FJ 92.1 FM in Tacoma/Puyallup and KLDY-AM 1280 AM in Olympia/Lacey. The network reaches fans in Washington, Oregon, and parts of Idaho.

The Sounders FC 2014 regular season runs 3/8 through 10/25 and includes 17 home matches at CenturyLink Field.

Following a season that boasted repeat record attendance, the Sounders FC bet on the growing local Latino population to expand the team’s fan base through ESPN Deportes Seattle’s listeners.

Noe Menendez and Rene Aleman will provide the play-by-play. Together, they have over 25 years of combined broadcast experience and in-depth knowledge of soccer. The duo will be joined by local sports radio co-host’s Diego Arrioja and Paco Diaz of “Latinfut Radio Show.”
