September is shaping up to be a strong month on Wall Street, but stock traders took a bit of a breather on Monday after recent price run-ups. Nonetheless, there was quite a bit of M&A action announced – none of it in media, though – which indicated that big companies are confident of the economic recovery. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended Monday with a decline of 48 points, or 0.4%, at 10,812. But while the major indices slipped, broadcasting stocks had an up day.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.930, or 1.13%, at 261.597.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.036, or 0.02%, at 187.582.
