Stocks end higher; Apple sees best gain in 2 years

Stocks finished Thursday’s volatile session generally higher. The main indexes dipped in and out of negative territory on worries over military escalation near Ukrainian border. But investors managed to focus on positive earnings and stronger-than-expected durable-goods orders. The S&P ended the day 3.22 points, or 0.2%, higher at 1,878.61. The Dow closed unchanged at 16,501.65. The Nasdaq added 21.37 points, or 0.5%, to 4,148.34.


The RBR Radio Index was down .785, or .1%, to 962.295.

The TVBR Television Index was down .117, or .01%, to 826.519.
