Stocks end lower; biotech, internet stocks sell off

Stock markets on Monday gave up some of last week’s gains that sent the Dow above 17,000 for the first time. Investors took a step back to reassess Thursday’s stronger-than-expected jobs report while awaiting Q2 earnings this week. The S&P closed 7.8 points, or 0.4%, lower at 1,977.65. The Dow fell 44.05 points, or 0.3%, to 17,024.21. The Nasdaq was dragged down by losses in biotech and Internet companies, ending the day down 34.4 points, or 0.8%, to 4,451.53.


The RBR Radio Index was down 14.414, or 1.5%, to 937.660.

The TVBR Television Index was down 17.887, or 1.9%, to 951.271.
